Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from small businesses considering a new website, a redesign, or ongoing support.

Website design questions

How long does a small business website take to build?

See the answer

A one-page Starter Site typically takes 1–2 weeks from when we receive your content and deposit. Multi-page Growth Sites take 2–4 weeks. Authority Sites with 10 or more pages typically take 4–6 weeks. The biggest variable is how quickly you can review drafts and provide feedback. We’ll give you a specific timeline estimate before any project starts.

What is included in your website design service?

See the answer

Every website we build includes WordPress installation and configuration, a mobile-responsive layout, written copy for all pages (first draft included), a contact form with email notifications, on-page SEO (title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text), image sourcing and optimization, SSL (HTTPS), Google Analytics or Search Console setup, XML sitemap, and a 30-day post-launch support window. See our pricing page for what’s included in each package.

Can you redesign my existing website?

See the answer

Yes. We redesign existing WordPress sites and also migrate sites from Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, and GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress as part of the redesign project. We preserve your URL structure where possible to protect any existing search rankings. See our website redesign service page for details.

Do you help with SEO?

See the answer

On-page SEO is included in every site we build. This covers title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, URL structure, XML sitemap, and Google Search Console setup. We also do keyword research to inform how pages are titled and written. We don’t offer ongoing link-building or off-page SEO campaigns — those are separate services that require ongoing investment. What we do gives your site the strongest possible on-page foundation.

Can you build a one-page website first and expand it later?

See the answer

Yes, and this is a common path. Start with a Starter Site to get something professional live quickly, then expand to a multi-page build when your budget or business needs grow. Because we build on WordPress, adding pages later is straightforward. We’ll design the initial site with future expansion in mind so the transition is smooth.

Technical and process questions

Will my site work well on phones and tablets?

See the answer

Yes. Every site we build is mobile-responsive. We build mobile-first, meaning the design is optimized for small screens before we work up to desktop. We test across multiple devices and screen sizes before launch, including common iPhone and Android viewport widths, iPad, and desktop at 1280px+.

Do you write website copy?

See the answer

Yes. We write a first draft of all page copy based on the intake questionnaire you fill out at the start of a project. You review the draft, give us feedback, and we revise. You don’t have to write anything from scratch — though if you have existing copy you want to use or build from, we’ll work with that too. The goal is copy that explains what you do clearly and moves visitors to contact you, not just words filling space.

Do you provide WordPress training or support after launch?

See the answer

Every project includes a walkthrough of how to manage your content — updating text, adding pages, uploading images. Every project also includes a 30-day post-launch support window for fixes and minor changes. After that window, we offer ongoing monthly support plans for businesses that want continued maintenance, monitoring, and a reliable contact for WordPress questions. See our WordPress support page for details.

What do I need to provide to get started?

See the answer

At minimum: your business name, what you do, who your customers are, your service area (if applicable), and your contact information. Photos of your work or team are helpful but not required — we source and optimize royalty-free images when you don’t have them. You’ll also need a domain name and a hosting account, or we can guide you through setting those up. Everything else — copy, structure, SEO — is part of what we build.

Do you host the website?

See the answer

We don’t sell hosting directly. We build on WordPress.com or on self-hosted WordPress (Bluehost, SiteGround, WP Engine, etc.) depending on your needs and budget. If you don’t have hosting yet, we’ll recommend the right option for your situation and help you get it set up. You own and control the account — we just handle the build on top of it.

Pricing and timeline questions

How much does a small business website cost?

See the answer

Our packages start at $595 for a one-page Starter Site, $1,195 for a multi-page Growth Site, and $2,495 for an Authority Site with deeper content and SEO. These are starting prices — the final cost depends on scope. We provide a flat-rate project price before any work begins, so you know exactly what you’re paying. See our pricing page for full details.

How long will my project take?

See the answer

One-page sites: 1–2 weeks. Multi-page Growth Sites: 2–4 weeks. Authority Sites: 4–6 weeks. Timeline starts when we receive your completed intake questionnaire and deposit. The fastest projects are ones where the client responds to draft reviews promptly — delays in feedback are the most common reason timelines extend.

What happens after my site launches?

See the answer

After launch, your 30-day support window opens. During this period we fix any issues that come up, make minor content corrections, and answer questions. We also submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and help you verify ownership. After the 30-day window, we offer optional monthly support plans for businesses that want ongoing maintenance. We recommend checking your Google Search Console after 2–4 weeks to start seeing how Google is indexing your pages.
